AFCAT 2 2016 eligibility criteria

AFCAT 2 2016 eligibility criteria: Before applying for AFCAT let’s discuss about its eligibility criteria (educational qualification, age limit, selection process), exam date and details. Nowadays along with boys, girls are also excited to go in Defence. There are different kinds of exams and among them AFCAT is the popular exam conducted twice a year. This time also AFCAT 2 exam is going to conduct in the month of August 2016. Candidates are requested to read the minute details given in the post of AFCAT eligibility criteria

AFCAT eligibility criteria:

You should know the eligibility criteria. Check either you are eligible or not for AFCAT exam 2016. We are providing all the important things that lie under eligibility criteria. Don’t wait to apply in the end of the month, apply now. Here is the direct link

Let’s start with AFCAT Age limit

Flying Branch –

  • Age limit should be between 20 years to 24 years ( as on 01 Jul 2017)
  • Candidate must be born between from date 02 Jul 1993 to 01 Jul 1997 (Both Dates inclusive)
  • Note: For Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) the age-limit is relaxable up to 26 years. The age should lie between 02 July 1991 to 01 July 1997

Technical Branch –

  • Age limit should be between 20 to 26 years (as on 01 July 2017)
  • Candidate must be born between 02 July 1991 to 01 July 1997 (both dates inclusive)

Ground Duty Branches –

  • Age should be between 20 to 26 year as on 01 July 2017
  • Born between 02 July 1991 to 01 July 1997

These were the age limits for all of three branches now proceed to our second eligibility criteria

Educational Qualification for AFCAT 2 exam

We are listing separate educational qualifications for all of the three branches:

1) Flying branch:

Candidate must have passed graduation with 60% marks and essentially required maths, physics in class 10+2 or B.Tech/B.E. degree from a recognized university with minimum 60% qualification marks.

2) Technical Branch:

Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) AE (M)

Candidates applying for AE (M) branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognized university or cleared Section A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India by actual studies

 Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) AE (L)

Candidates applying for AE (L) branch would be eligible if they have undergone a minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognized university or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate membership examination of the institute of electronics and telecommunication engineers by actual studies
All candidates applying for AE (L) branch should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together

3) Ground Duty Branch

Candidates should have graduation degree with minimum 60% marks or post graduate/ diploma with minimum 50% marks in aggregate of all the papers.

So these were the AFCAT eligibility criteria mentioned above now proceed towards exam date

AFCAT 2 exam date

  • Date of the advertisement released: 4th June 2016
  • Starting date to apply: 4th June 2016
  • Last date to submit the applications: 30th July 2016
  • Exam Date: 28th Aug  2016
  • AFCAT 2 result (expected): 28th Sep 2016

  2. Those students are eligible who have one back at present but it will cleared in the month of march,2017
