Documents required in Indian Coast Guard PSB (Assistant Commandant)

Candidates going to appear in Indian Coast Guard (PSB), kindly verify the documents. There are certain documents that has to be carried in Preliminary Stage 1. We requested to you be very attentive while carrying these documents. Without documents, candidates are not eligible for the PSB. They will be asked to return on the same day. So here are the documents:

  • Recent colour passport size photo affixed. (not older than 03 months)
  • Two copies of computer generated pre-filled online application form with
  • Original pass certificate and marks sheet of 10th class
  • Original pass certificate and marks sheet of 12th examination/equivalent
  • Original Degree Certificate with all semester / years mark sheets of BE /BTech /Graduation with CPA/CGPA conversion for percentage marks from university
  • Proof of identity such as passport, driving license, Aadhaar card, voter ID card, college ID card or any other photo identity proof
  • Current and Valid Commercial Pilot License (issued & validated by DGCA)
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable) in original as per Govt. of India format for OBC and State for SC/ST candidates. (format available in website www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in)
  • Character certificate (should not older than six months on the date called for PSB)

Note:

(a) Candidates completed their Degree in 2016 must be in possession of Original / Provisional Degree issued by the University and Candidates completed their Degree in and before 2015 must be in possession of Original Degree issued by the University

(b) If not the candidate must be in possession of “Non issuance of Degree Certificate” issued / signed from the concerned University only. No candidates will be permitted to appear in PSB without above documents in Original

(c) No amendment/correction will be allowed pertaining to any data post submission of on line application form later on either during PSB or FSB

(d) The CGPA should be corroborated with 60% of the total marks as issued from the University

  2. mam those who don’t have 8th semester result and waiting for result to be declare and there passing out year is 2016 is they can report to center taking an issue letter from college having mentioned that result is to be declare by next month.

Pradeep according to the official notification, it is clearly written that you have to present, “Original Degree Certificate with all semester / years mark sheets of BE /BTech /Graduation with CPA/CGPA conversion for percentage marks from university” . Also it written, “If not the candidate must be in possession of “Non issuance of Degree Certificate” issued / signed from the concerned University only. No candidates will be permitted to appear in PSB without above documents in Original”

  3. mam one more question is it the procedure for PSB is same as ssb that the candidate have to stay their for 5 days after 1st round.

      Not exactly. The first stage is PSB where verbal and non- verbal questions, thereafter result is immediately declared. Then shortlisted candidates have to give PPDT test.
      Selected students of PPDT will be called for FSB. FSB is similar to SSB

      Shortlisted candidates names are announced on the same day i.e. after the written test. It can take half hour

  7. How do they varify the +2 certificate? Will they cross check it with the Board of higher secondary examination or they just glimpse throgh it?.
