Probably there are two ways to join IAF after engineering in Technical branch

1. UNIVERSITY ENTRY SCHEME(UES)

Candidate can get into Indian Air Force through popularly known as UES. Come let’s know its eligibility criteria like educational qualification, age limit, gender etc.

Gender

For males only

Marital Status

Candidates below the age of 25 years should be unmarried

Age Limit

Candidate must lie in between 20 to 26 years (at the time when the course starts)

Educational Qualifications

The candidate must be studying in Pre-final year of BE / BTech. There should be minimum 60% of marks in aggregate in all the papers. No arrears and backlog of papers of previous semesters at the time of SSB Interview

Type of Commission (After selecting into it)

Permanent Commission

Advertisement Release: In the month of December every year (through AFCAT)
2. AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING COURSE

Candidates can also set their career in Indian Air Force via Aeronautical Engineering Course. Both males and females (only for SSC) can apply for it. We are providing details regarding Aeronautical Engineering Course

For both males and females

Marital Status

Candidates below the age of 25 years should be unmarried

Age Limit

Candidate must lie in between 20 to 26 years (at the time when the course starts)

Educational Qualifications

Candidate must have their graduation degree with minimum 60% of marks. You can choose one of the sub-branches of the Technical branch. Final year students can also apply.

Type of Commission (After selecting into it)

  • Men (Eligible for both Permanent commission and SSC)
  • Women (SSC only)

*SSC stands for Short Service Commission
